Lab facilities

The Flex Power Grid Lab has direct 10kV connection, several power sources and loads available, which can be obtained in various operating circuits; refer single line diagram.

Power Sources

• the 4Q MV converter, refer "Test Possibilities"
• direct connection to the 10kV grid through a special transformer (0.9-1.8 MVA, 400V - 4.3kV). Numerous settings provide 2% voltage steps.

Loads

• Converter in 4Q operation, refer "Test Possibilities"
• 10kV grid through special transformer, refer above
• Resistor Bank, maximum 500kW
• Reactor Bank, maximum 1 Mvar
• Capacitor Bank, maximum 1 Mvar
