Technical information

The Flex Power Grid Lab is designed for providing a freely programmable (Flexible) Medium Voltage grid (Grid) with a continuous power rating of 1 MVA (Power).

This facility can be freely programmed for static and dynamic grid phenomena; more details on the possible grid phenomena are described in Test Possibilities.

Basic specification freely programmable grid

• Nominal power 1 MVA, in 4 quadrant operation (bi-directional power flow)
• Nominal output voltage from 400 Vrms up to 24 kVrms, 3 phases (independently controllable)
• Power frequency adjustable from DC to 75 Hz
• Bandwidth of 2.4 kHz
